Once you hit Level 70 on one of your characters on your seasoned D3 account, you can start earning Paragon Levels. This in turn earns your account Paragon Points. In today’s guide we will go over how these points can be used to improve the characters on your Diablo 3 account through the Core Tab.
Improving primary stats on your Diablo 3 Account
Paragon Points can be used to improve the characters Diablo 3players have on their account. This is done by distributing the points across bonuses. These bonuses are grouped into four tabs, namely the Core Tab, Offense Tab, Defense Tab and Utility Tab.
The Core Tab holds four different bonuses, two of which are the Mainstat and Vitality bonus. Putting points in the former will increase the main stat of the character by five per Paragon Point. This means Monks and Demon Hunters get points in Dexterity, while Wizards and Witch Doctors get points in Intelligence. Strength gets a boost for Barbarian and Crusader characters. Meanwhile, Paragon Points in Vitality will increase the stat by five.
Faster and More Skills on your Diablo 3 Account
The second set of bonuses on the Core Tab is for Movement Speed and Maximum Resource. While they may seem straightforward, they are not. This will be discussed in the next section however. For now, just know that each Paragon Point in Movement Speed will increase the character’s actual Movement Speed by 0.5%.
For the Maximum Resource bonus, each Paragon Point will increase Fury, Wrath, Spirit and Arcane Power by one. Hatred however is increased only by 0.5 while Mana goes up by four per Paragon Point. Discipline unfortunately is not improved by Paragon Points.
Point Limits on your Diablo 3 Account
There is no hard cap on the amount of Paragon Points you can earn. In fact if you buy D3 account, it is advisable that you pick one with a lot of Paragon Levels. To balance things out however, bonuses have a limit on how many points can be used on them. Movement Speed and Maximum Resource have a hard cap of 50 Paragon Points. Additionally, Movement Speed has a hard cap of 25% from all sources.
There are exceptions to the point limits however. The Mainstat and Vitality bonuses have no limit on points. In fact, all Paragon Points beyond 800 are assigned to the Core Tab automatically, because these two bonuses can go beyond 50.
