Most Crusader builds on a new or seasoned D3 account will concentrate on defense. The Wrath of the Thundergod build by Drothvader however takes maximizes the attack and defense of this class. This is possible thanks to the Roland’s Legacy set. In today’s guide we will show you how to use the build when you buy D3 account.
Wrath of the Thundergod for Diablo 3 Account Holders
For the offensive skills, Diablo 3 account holders will need to use Sweep Attack (Trip Attack) for this build. This is used against multiple targets and helps in Wrath generation. The stun is also incredibly useful to help control the crowds of enemies.
For the defense part and solo targets, use Shield Bash (One on One). Similar to the above, it also stuns the targets and helps with managing Wrath. Shield Glare (Zealous Glare) is also used as the blind on demand is useful in dire situations.
Passives you will need to take for the build include Towering Shield to increase the damage of Shield Bash. Heavenly Strength is also taken to allow two-handed weapons to be wielded with one hand. For a full list of skills be sure to check the build page here.
Items for Diablo 3 Account Holders
If you buy D3 account and plan to use this build, be sure it has a six piece Roland’s Legacy. This set is critical to the build as it makes Shield Bash and Sweep Attack much more powerful. Another important item for this build is Drakon’s Lesson. It improves Shield Bash and helps generate Wrath. As for the build’s name, it gets it from the Thundergod’s Vigor legendary item.
Gems for Diablo 3 Account Holders
Bane of the Trapped is an obvious choice for this build due to the stuns from its primary damage dealing skills. Even more so when its rank 25 effect is unlocked. Another gem to use is Taeguk. Since you’ll be spending a lot of Wrath, the effect s of the gem will be triggered more often. Finally, to fit the Thundergod theme, the Wreath of Lightning gem is used. Diablo 3 players can also get the rank 25 version of the gem to give the Crusader a movement speed boost.
