Today’s Demon Hunter guide is a fantastic build for Diablo 3 account holders who are just starting out on their Level 70 escapades. You aren’t necessarily required to have Legendary items on your D3 account at this point for it be effective; however, better gear with Critical Damage, Critical Rating, and +% to Elemental Arrow and Cold Skills make it an extremely powerful build to consider.
Rift Speed Demon Hunter for Diablo 3 Account Holders
For starters, the skill kit setup for the Rift Speed Demon Hunter as recommended by Jet-RR is as follows:
- Mouse Skill 1 (Left) – Hungering Arrow w/ Serrated Arrow
- Mouse Skill 2 (Right) – Elemental Arrow w/ Frost Arrow
- Action Skill 1 – Vault w/ Tumble
- Action Skill 2 – Companion w/ Bat Companion
- Action Skill 3 – Preparation w/ Focused Mind
- Action Skill 4 – Vengeance w/ Seethe
- Passive Skill 1 – Archery
- Passive Skill 2 – Ambush
- Passive Skill 3 – Steady Aim
- Passive Skill 4 – Tactical Advantage
For the Paragon stats, combine Movement Speed/DEX, Critical Damage, Resist All, and Area Damage. Ideally, you should tailor your paragon stats to your current gear needs, but once you gain solid footing with gear, you’ll want more of a focus on critical damage since critical rating is easy to acquire.
Farming at Optimum Speed for Diablo 3 Account Holders
Start at Level 70 with this build by running split bounties and Nephalem rifts on Normal when you buy D3 account. This build is designed to vault or plow through enemies quickly so you can collect bounty reward boxes in an efficient manner, hence the name, Rift Speed Demon Hunter. In Nephalem rifts, you will find your Frost Arrows one-shotting most of the mob packs, allowing you to run through and farm at optimum speed. Bat Companion and Preparation are your sustains, to make sure that you never run out of resources. Vengeance is also there for boss fights, bigger mob packs, higher game difficulties, or for when you find a Channeling Pylon in a Nephalem rift.
Surviving Higher Levels for Diablo 3 Account Holders
If you decide to try playing on Torment 1 or higher, replace Tactical Advantage for Cull the Weak, Preparation for Smoke Screen (Healing Vapors), and the Bat Companion for either the Boar or the Wolf Companion. For the first 30% of your enemy’s health, you’ll be doing 80% more damage, which will drop down to 40% for the remainder.
The Kridershot for Diablo 3 Account Holders
The one Legendary that could improve this build tremendously is the Kridershot. If you happen to find one, your elemental arrows will no longer consume Hatred, but rather, restore it. Imagine the ridiculous spam and speed of your attacks; you’ll practically never run out and wiping out a whole dungeon would be a breeze! If you ever do get one, remove Hungering Arrow and add another support skill, or even Rain of Vengeance if you feel the need to have more AoE damage.
