For the ninth part of this guide for Diablo 3 account holders, we’ll cover the very short quest / event, The Scouring of Caldeum, followed by the final chapter for Act 2 when you buy D3 account, The Lord of Lies. Find out more about these quests in the article below!
The Scouring of Caldeum Quest for your Diablo 3 Account
As mentioned above, the Scouring of Caldeum is a fairly short quest that is actually more of an event than a quest for D3 account holders. Leave the Hidden Camp and head to the Caldeum Bazaar to speak with Asheara. Belial has already begun the attack on the city, and your task here is to save the refugees. They won’t show up on the mini map until you are within about 25 meters from them. Evacuate all the refugees from the city to the Flooded Causeway, while eliminating enemies you will encounter along the way. Some of the refugees may be hiding under wagons. Once you’ve rescued the first group of refugees, go to your left and choose a previously inaccessible passageway. Don’t travel the sewers too often. It’s best to add at least several refugees to the group before returning with them. Remember that this is a timed event! If you manage to save all of the refugees, you’ll earn an achievement.
The Lord of Lies Quest for your Diablo 3 Account
Run towards the Imperial Palace where you will meet up with Leah. You’ll fight a bunch of monsters here, which shouldn’t be new to you, as well as a powerful mage named Kamyr. Watch out for the small rifts, because toxic fumes will be coming out of them and they could potentially halve your health pool, and you wouldn’t want to take any unnecessary damage which could’ve been otherwise avoidable. Continue on to the area, defeating more and more enemies, until you see Leah destroy a new door.
Emperor Hakan II for your Diablo 3 Account
Watch a short cutscene which will reveal that Emperor Hakan II is Belial. Once the battle has started, he will be standing in the exact same spot where you have met him as the emperor for the first time. He will spawn Veiled Sentinels which you’ll have to finish off quickly. Belial will soon after use the stairs to join the battle; however, this will not be the full fight yet. Belial has a lot of health points, and is extremely fast, so this could be very challenging—especially for players who are either under-leveled or under-equipped. We’ll have a separate guide for the Act Bosses you will face inevitably on your Diablo 3 account, so watch out for our Belial guide in the next article.
