Diablo 3 account holders will soon be able to test the new features of Patch 2.3.0 on the Diablo 3 Public Test Realm (PTR). For now however, we can only prove you with a preview of these upcoming features. These include a new zone, a new powerful artifact and changes to the crafting system.
New zone for Diablo 3 Account holders
D3 account holders who are looking for new challenges will find them in the upcoming Patch 2.3.0. The update will be adding a new zone: the Ruins of Sescheron. This frozen wasteland will feature a dangerous new environment that will take out those who are not prepared. The ruins will also host strange new monsters prowling the mysterious area. Most important of all, the ruins will hold the Tomb of Kin Kanai. This lost resting place of ancients hold a powerful artifact.
New artifact on your Diablo 3 Account
Fans of the Diablo series will be familiar with the Horadric Cube. This item in the second iteration of the game allowed players to combine and transform items. If you buy D3 account, then you’ll be able to play with the ancestor of the Horadric Cube, Kanai’s Cube. This ancient relic will allow players to break down Legendary items and use its effects for their own. To be more specific, players will be able to equip the effects of a weapon as a passive. The artifact will also allow players to convert materials, transform items and much more. As of writing however, there are no details about the recipes the cube will use for these features.
Crafting changes to Diablo 3 Account
One of the issues some players have while playing the game is the materials needed for the crafting system. Often times, the materials you get at low level become worthless at higher levels. The changes to the crafting system that will be introduced by Patch 2.3.0 will change that. Once implemented, players will be able to use the same materials available at high levels even if they are just starting out. To further help players who love to craft, the number of crafting recipes will be reduced.
