Monks in Diablo 3 are not only powerful they can also be lightning fast. So why not make them also wield the power of lightning. The Sizzle Splat build of Bishift does exactly that. If you want to collect D3 items with a powerful monk, then this build is for you.
Skills for your Diablo 3 items collector
Way of the Hundred Fist (Hands of Lightning) is the primary resource generator in this build. This fast attack will help build up the Spirit needed for the rest of the Monk’s skills. The rune also helps in doling out the lightning damage that gives the build its sizzle.
Collectors of Diablo 3 items will also need the Cyclone Strike (Implosion) skill for crowd control. This ability is mainly used to pull together enemies so the Monk’s skill can hit them easily. Exploding Palm (Strong Spirit) and Sweeping Wind (Cyclone) are best used when the enemies have been rounded up.
For passive, Mythic Rhythm is taken for its bonus to Way of the Hundred Fists. The more hits the more Spirit it will generate. To boost attack speed even further, Alacrity is also taken. Since the build will be Spirit intensive, Exalted Soul greatly helps. For a full list of skills, check out the build page here.
Diablo 3 items needed for the build
No build will be complete without Diablo 3 Legendary items. For starters, this build will do great with the four piece bonus of Monkey King’s Garb and Raiment of a Thousand Storms. The former gives the Monk decoys that damage enemies and places a buff on the monk. The second set meanwhile improves the damage of lightning skills. A Ring of Royal Grandeur is need in order to use both sets.
Additional items for the build include the Fulminator for more lightning damage sources and Thundergod’s Vigor for an offense oriented defense.
Gems to put in your Diablo 3 items
Two gems are used in the build. The first is Mirinae, Teardrop of the Starweaver for extra holy damage. The other gem is Wreath of Lightning. This fits the theme well as well as improving the Monk’s AoE damage.
