Aside from plain farming for high quality items in Diablo 3, you can also make money by saving your mediocre D3 items. This guide will teach you how to salvage those items and earn some extra Diablo 3 gold.
Making Diablo 3 gold with crafting materials
To start making crafting materials, you have to first speak with the Blacksmith NPC and click on the Salvaging tab. Click on the Salvage icon and your cursor changes indicating salvage mode. Now, simply click any eligible item and they will be turned into materials that can later be sold for Diablo 3 gold. Note that only magic, rare, set and legendary items can be salvaged. Also be warned that once an item has been salvaged, you can never get it back. Be very careful or you’ll end up with an empty Diablo 3 account.
Knowing your materials for better Diablo 3 gold profits
The game has nine materials you can sell for Diablo 3 gold. For each difficulty level from Normal to Hell, there is a magic material and a rare material. Inferno difficulty however has its own legendary material. Note that the game checks the salvaged item’s Item Level to determine the difficulty level it will use. Item levels 1-30 are considered Normal, 31-50 are Nightmare, 51-59 are Hell, and 60-63 are Inferno.
